Holidays and Stress
With Thanksgiving over, and as we approach the holiday season, it can be stressful and sometimes anxiety ridden with all the hustle, bustle and general busy-ness. How do we stay focused and still enjoy the "most wonderful time" of the year? A few things can help, whether you struggle with anxiety or not. The most important thing is to stay "in the present", and no I don't mean opening presents :) What I mean by that is taking time to notice what is going on around you and actively think about it, rather than focusing on your list of things to get done that keeps growing by the minute. After this has been done take a deep breath. After all, what is the point of the holidays if you don't take time out to enjoy them.
